Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into reports of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
